Mint is gone. Here's what's next.

Mint is dead.
Meet the alternative that
doesn't track you.

PaySmart tracks every credit card, debt, and due date — all on your device. No ads, no data selling, no subscription traps. Just clarity, for $9.99 a year.

Rocket Money and Credit Karma aren't Mint replacements. They're Mint's problems — amplified.

Every "free" Mint replacement profits by selling your financial data, pushing credit products, or locking features behind paywalls. PaySmart flips the model.

The trap

Rocket Money

Sells subscription cancellation as a service, takes a cut of every "negotiated" bill, and requires full bank access. Free tier is mostly a lead funnel.

The trap

Credit Karma

Ad-supported by the very credit cards and loans it recommends. Every "score insight" is an upsell. Your data is the product — and the ads follow you.

The answer

PaySmart

One flat price. No bank-linking required. No ads, ever. Your data lives on your iPhone — not on anyone's server. We make money when you pay us, full stop.

🔒

On-Device Architecture

Your financial data never leaves your iPhone. No cloud server stores it, no breach can expose it, no AI trains on it. Privacy isn't a setting — it's the architecture.

What PaySmart isn't: not a full budgeting app. No transaction feed, no spending categories, no net-worth graphs, no Android or web version. If that's what you're after, Copilot or a spreadsheet will serve you better — this one is built for people carrying balances across several cards.

We literally can't sell what we don't have.

Most apps bury data practices in a 40-page privacy policy. Here's ours — as a receipt.

📄 PaySmart App — Data Footprint Receipt
Personal data the app collects 0 items
App data sent to our servers 0 bytes
Ad trackers in the app 0 SDKs
Data sold to partners $0.00
Email list sign-ups 0 required
Account creation required No
Total app data footprint Zero. Zilch. None.

This receipt describes the iOS app. Like most websites, paysmartapp.net itself uses basic visitor analytics and is hosted on Wix — the app reports nothing to either. Full detail in the Privacy Policy.

Your data lives on your phone

Everything you enter stays in your iPhone's local storage. We have no server to breach, no database to subpoena, no backup that could leak.

🚫

No tracking SDKs in the app

The app embeds no Mixpanel, no Firebase Analytics, no third-party tracker. What you do in the app is your business — it isn't reported to us or anyone else.

🗑️

Delete everything, instantly

Delete the app and your data is gone. No "submit a request to our data team." No 30-day waiting period. Gone.

💼

Business model: you pay us

We charge $9.99/yr for Pro. That's it. No investors pushing us to monetize your data. No ads to serve. Just a product people pay for because it's good.

Simple, honest pricing.

FAQ for Mint switchers

Can I import my data from Mint?

Mint exported CSV files before shutting down. PaySmart doesn't currently auto-import from those CSVs, but setup takes only a few minutes — just enter your account names, limits, and current balances. Most people are done in under 5 minutes. We're working on import tooling for a future update.

What happens to my data if PaySmart shuts down?

Nothing happens to it — and this is the practical payoff of the on-device architecture, not just a privacy talking point. Your accounts, balances and reminders live in your iPhone's storage, not on a PaySmart server. There is no server to switch off. An app already installed on your phone keeps running, keeps your data, and keeps reminding you.

That's precisely what went wrong with Mint. Your Mint data lived on Intuit's servers, so when Intuit shut the product down, the data went with it and millions of people had to start over somewhere else. PaySmart is built so that can't happen to you twice.

Do I have to link my bank account?

Absolutely not. Bank linking is optional in PaySmart — unlike Rocket Money and Credit Karma, where it's required to use core features. You can enter balances manually and update them whenever you want. If you prefer automatic syncing, the option is there via a secure connection handled by Plaid, but it's never required.

Why is it only $9.99 a year? What's the catch?

There's no catch — it's arithmetic, and it's worth showing the math because "cheap" usually means someone else is paying.

PaySmart has no cloud infrastructure to run, because your data never leaves your phone. No servers, no database, no security team guarding a warehouse of other people's financial records. There are no investors expecting your data to be monetized later, and no ad sales to run. The competitors charging $95 to $190 a year are carrying all of that — plus, in some cases, the cost of acquiring you through the credit offers they show you.

What $9.99 covers is one independent developer continuing to build and support an iOS app. It's a small, sustainable number for a small, focused product — not an introductory rate designed to climb later.

Is PaySmart iOS only?

Yes, currently PaySmart is an iOS app only. Android and web versions are not available at this time. If you're on Android, we unfortunately can't help yet — but we'd love to hear your interest at info@paysmartapp.net.

Can I delete all my data?

Yes — and it's immediate. Because PaySmart stores data on your device only, deleting the app deletes all your data permanently. There's no server-side account to deactivate, no "data deletion request" to file, no 30-day waiting period. Delete the app, data is gone. Simple.

I only have a mortgage — is PaySmart useful for me?

It can be. You can add your mortgage as an account and track your balance, interest rate, and due dates just like a credit card. That said, PaySmart's core strengths are credit card utilization and multi-card debt management. If a mortgage is your only debt, you might find the free tier sufficient — or you might prefer a more mortgage-focused app.

Your finances. Your phone. Your call.
