The short answer
Rocket Money is a bill-negotiation service that also shows you your subscriptions. Its revenue comes from Premium tiers and a cut of the bills it negotiates down for you.
PaySmart is a credit and debt tracker. It shows what you owe, what's due, and where your utilization sits — and it charges one flat $9.99 a year for that.
If you want someone to cancel subscriptions on your behalf, Rocket Money does something PaySmart doesn't. If you want to see your cards clearly without handing over bank credentials, that's the other way around.

Why people switch to PaySmart
- They don't want to connect a bank account just to see a list of cards they already know they have.
- They're tracking credit utilization before a mortgage or car application, and need per-card numbers, not a spending feed.
- The monthly subscription stopped making sense for the amount of app they were actually using.
When Rocket Money is the better pick
If your actual problem is subscriptions you forgot about — gym memberships, trials that converted, streaming services stacked three deep — Rocket Money is built for that and PaySmart isn't. It will find them and cancel them for you.
If you want someone to call your cable company and argue the bill down, that's a real service and it's theirs. PaySmart will never do it.
We'd rather you pick the right tool than churn out of ours in a month.
